Darwin’s bicentennial - a Mount Residents’ exclusive!
To celebrate Charles Darwin’s birth in 1809, the Mount Residents’ Group has been granted exclusive access to ‘The Mount’.
Location: 'The Mount'
Amidst all the worldwide publicity that is being given to celebrate Charles Darwin’s birth in 1809, the Mount Residents’ Group has been granted exclusive access to ‘The Mount’ (Darwin’s birthplace) on the evening of his bicentennial anniversary, Thursday, 12th February. We shall be organising a ‘nibbles and wine’ evening, starting at 7pm, at which we can raise a glass to Shrewsbury’s most famous son.
Places are limited for what will undoubtedly be a very popular event, so are restricted to paid-up members, who should contact our chairman, Ron Iremonger (phone 356768), if they wish to attend.
Many thanks to the District Valuation Office for allowing us to hold this celebration. |
